When it came time to redesign the mascot for Sam Houston State University, several proposals were issued. The student body voted and my version of the new Sammy Bearkat was chosen as the new look to be used by the university. This is one piece in a series of artwork showcasing the new mascot look. I later used Sammy's new look to custom design the new mascot suit.
